MTB in Beijing XiangShan

Filed under: China, Trips, Biking — atomicskate @ 12:14 pm — 262 Views

Already 8 months without posting anything…
Let’s start by a short movie, back in June 19th, made by 馋馋 and his friends in Beijing (香山八大处) the day before the MTB downhill race that they’ve organized.
On our side, at the same time, we’ve been to Fatboy Slim concert on the Great Wall, so we couldn’t attend the race.
That’s why 馋馋 brought us there the day after.
Only 45minutes away from Beijing downtown, this is a heaven for downhill single tracks…

Danny Mac Askill - Way Back Home

One more epic video from Danny Mac Askill (thanks Keke for sharing!).
Many spots on the blockhaus or in the nature remind me some similar places where we were used to ride (but with inline skates!) on the West part of France…
I love this concept, and I’m still promoting and looking for such kind of inline skating freerides (as we do around Shanghai and in Zhejiang country side, not with the same skills for sure lol).

Here was the previous awesome video of Danny Mac Askill in April 2009.

It was on October 1st, 2010.
This firebreak track sounds great. A good mix of DWH and XC.

Beat Street /

This set of three parties brings together Shanghai’s skateboarders, graffiti writers, BMXers and other underground street sports (parkour, inline skating,…) to show off their skills and try to build up their following. Turn up for a night of music and displays.

BEAT  STREET

Filed under: Rollerskating, Shanghai, China, Biking — atomicskate @ 9:54 am — 775 Views

A week ago, on Saturday, the 17th of October, ElManouch & Keke planned to go to Tàihú for some mountainbike. As there were 2 empty seats, Thibaut & I joined the trip, but for rollerskating ;-)

Filed under: Rollerskating, Shanghai, China, Biking — atomicskate @ 2:53 pm — 969 Views

Danny MacAskill April 2009

Filmed in and around Edinburgh, this video of Inspired Bicycles team rider Danny MacAskill features probably the best collection of street/street trials riding ever seen. There’s some huge riding, but also some of the most technically difficult and imaginative lines you will ever see. Without a doubt, this video pushes the envelope of what is perceived as possible on a trials bike.

Thanks to XW for sending me this awesome video!
