Freedom of space

Filed under: Rollerskating, China, Biking — atomicskate @ 4:32 pm — 11 Views

Ok, this video is talking about skateboard, but it could be enlarge to rollerskate, BMX & MTB, stunt…

Hope that one day, local authorities (I don’t speak specifically about China, but everywhere all over the world!…) would understand what is said on this video ;-)
The narrator is true: when you’re a rider, you look at the cities as an experiencing environment: stairs, walls, handrails, gaps, …
"Public space" just doesn’t have the same meaning.

Street sports & Outdoor sports @ Shanghai

Filed under: Shanghai, China, Biking — atomicskate @ 11:51 pm — 573 Views

BMX @ ShanghaiIt’s unusual to read articles about street sports in Shanghai nightlife magazines, but City Weekend did it, and SH did it about BMX!

City Weekend has listed good spots/shops/contacts for BMX, Climbing, Rollerskating (our bi-weekly ride by night is mentioned!), Paragliding and Biking.

On the other hand, SH has interviewed BMX-addicted George (from Australia) and Jason (from Shanghai) about their experiences in China, and how they see evolution of these kind of sports here.
They also speak about SMP skatepark, and how it is disproportionate compared to the number of serious riders in Shanghai…

These stories were published on the side of the Asian X-Games, held last week in our city

Here it is:
