If you are living in China, you know how it is embarrassing to make international calls…
 
 
Several solutions exist:
On PC or PDA：
SkypeOut or other Internet VoIP providers

On fixed and mobile phones:
- Buy IP card
- Activate IDD calls (China Mobile requires a minimum credit of 500rmb on your account when you ask for this service, and they will automatically deactivate it one month later…)
- Callback systems like Expat Telecom
 
 
But, there is a new service launched one month ago by China Mobile:
International VoIP long distance calls!

This new service, called 12593 新干线 (xīn gàn xiàn), is intended to compete with Skype, which is judge disloyal by Chinese Government (no comment…).
The fact is that the call quality of this service is really good and the rates are seriously competitive!

By the way it’s funny to see that Taiwan is included in international calls
 
 
In order to enjoy this service, no deposit or minimum credit on your balance! Just follow these steps:

1 - Service activation:
- send "KTXGX" by SMS to 10086.
- you will receive a SMS in Chinese, just reply "1".
- you will receive another SMS in Chinese, confirming your subscription.

2 - Call procedure:
Now you can use your mobile to make international calls with the following procedure:
12593 + 00 + country code + telephone number

So, for instance, if you want to call 0617186601 in France, you have to dial 125930033617186601.

Cost of this service: 1rmb per month!

3 - Optional step: preferential number:
If you want to enjoy "preferential number" fees, you have 2 solutions:
- call China Mobile customer service (10086) and tell them that you want to add 12593 亲情号码 (qīn qíng hàomǎ). Good luck!
- go to Shanghai China Mobile website and follow these steps:

Then, on the following page:

At the bottom of the following page:

Finally, on the field 1, select the country code of the number you wanna enter, and on the field 2 enter the telephone number (without its international code).
For instance, if you wanna add a French telephone number like 0139393939, select 法国 (33) and then type 139393939.
You can enter up to 5 preferential numbers. They will be activated at the beginning of the next month. Each number is invoiced 1rmb per month. If you modify a number, the cost is 1rmb per modification.
Click on the button 3 in order to validate.

 
The last step is asking you confirmation. Click on OK.

在中国，给打电话向国外很麻烦。。。
 
 
已经有几的解决：
在电脑或者PDA：

但是，一个月以前中国移动发出一个新的服务：
国际的VoIP电话！

这个服务叫12593新干线。它的目标是比赛跟Skype，因为中国政府觉得Skype是不忠的（无可奉告）。
其实，这个服务的品质很好和它们的费用非常竞争！
例如，如果你给打电话向法国：

你可以比较根SkypeOut的费用或者Expat-Telecom的费用。
 
 
如果你要申请这个服务，你不需要押金或者500元多在你的帐户！跟随这些脚步：

1 - 申请服务:
- 发送"KTXGX"短消息到10086。
- 你受到一个短消息的时候，回答 "1"。
- 然后你会受到证实。

2 - 电话手续:
现在你可以用你的中国移动手机给国际打电话，用这个手续：
12593 + 00 + 国家号码 + 电话号码

例如，给打电话0617186601在法国，你应该打125930033617186601。

服务的费用：1元/月！

3 - 随意的脚步：亲情号码：
两个解决：
- 给中国移动服务热线打电话(10086)和问他们加12593亲情号码。
- 网上在上海中国移动网站和跟随这些脚步：登录跟你的手机号码，然后去“业务办理“，然后“套餐办理与变更“，然后“12593亲情号码设置“。
你可以有5个亲情号码。下个月可以用。每个号码的费用是1元/月。如果你更改一个号码，费用是1元。
