An intrepid climber dubbed the "French Spiderman" was expelled from China on Tuesday after five days in prison for illegally climbing the country’s tallest building.
Alain Robert was arrested after having scaled and descended the 430m (1,380 foot) Jin Mao Tower in Shanghai, dressed in his trademark Spiderman costume and without any ropes or safety equipment.

Chinese stocks plummeted nearly seven percent on Wednesday, May 30th after the Ministry of Finance announced a hike in the stamp tax on stock trading to 0.3 percent from 0.1 percent. It was the authorities’ latest move to cool down the country’s hot equity market.
More than 1,200 stocks fell on the Shanghai and Shenzhen stock exchanges, with over 800 tumbling to their daily limits of 10 percent. Only 66 stocks rose in the two bourses.
