It’s now confirmed by the Official website (www.kiaxgamesasia.com): the Asia X Games 2007 will be held in Shanghai!!!
Good news?!
Yes, of course!!! But…
We have to remind that Shanghai is already hosting the biggest skatepark in the world since October 2005, but it’s so hard-to-ride-on that X Games organizers will have to set up a new skatepark only for this event!!! (click on the thumbnail below)
Moreover, Shanghai doesn’t even have any good skateshop!!! I mean a real skateshop, with wheels for whatever rollerskates, rollerskates from a large panel of brands, skateshoes, clothes and so on… We can only notice some skateboard shops, fitness rollerblade shops, roller hockey shops and BMX/Bikes shops.
Last but not least, Shanghai’s scene for rollerskating (I mean except slalom!!!) is really small…
The holy hope is that such kind of event in China will boost such kind of sports! 
Time Schedule: May 2nd to 5th, 2007
Venue: Jiāngwān Stadium (江湾体育馆) located in the Yángpǔ District (杨浦区) in Shanghai (about 20 mins from downtown) and near the infamous SMP skatepark.
