Almost one month ago, on January 26th, I’ve been to a Sunday’s brunch with some mates (by the way, the best ratio quality/price brunch: only 98rmb for a French all-you-can-eat buffet!!! It’s La Seine at Pǔxī!), and, at the end of this gargantuan meal, everybody agreed that we just need a good siesta at our respective homes!!! Orange warning

Some fruit vendors inject fluid into oranges to add to their weight in Beijing, China Central Television (CCTV) reported yesterday.

A Beijing resident said he found needle marks in all three boxes of oranges he had bought, and they tasted like saccharin.

A fruit seller told CCTV that one box of oranges typically weighs 12 kg, but some hawkers make it up to 14 kg by injecting a sweetened fluid. The state TV broadcaster warned the public against buying oranges that are unusually soft, sticky or with juice seeping out of tiny holes.

 
Biohazard in ChinaHazardous fluid into oranges and red eggs are just a small part of the exhaustive list of risky food in China… We can add the chemical meat tenderizers, the Monosodium glutamate flavour enhancer as known as MSG which Chinese people are very keen on, dog meat coming from dogs which have been killed with poison, and so on…
