Thin Man @ Tang Hui Bar Sunday, January 21st, 8:30pm
Thin Man @ Tang Hui Bar

Thin Man has been around since 1993, taking off 1997 with a new lead singer, Dai Qin. For drum fans, drummer Wang Lan is known as the ‘Drum King’ and his female followers add ’stud’ to that title. But this is no pretty Chinese pop band. Their lyrics tagets drug addiction, despair, self-destructiveness, betrayal and even war in Kosovo. Their music draws on both Western and Chinese influences, and fans of Rage Against the Machine, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Lenny Kravitz, Smashing Pumpkins, and Jane’s Addiction will hear these influences in Thin Man’s music.
